Mercury

Mercury is a young, but well established, trade credit insurer with a solution driven mentality. Founded in 2015 by Richard Ariens and Elena Colmenero-Godoy in Rotterdam, we developed to a credit insurer with more than 20 employees, based in Amsterdam. Our commitment is to combine high level individual credit underwriting with the highest possible flexibility in terms of customer driven solutions. Mercury is a Lloyd’s Coverholder and all our policies are underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s and therefore supported by an AA- rating by Fitch.

Mercury is specialized in tailor-made trade credit insurance solutions, which always takes the individual needs of its clients into account. More than 150 customers with over 250 policies already trust us as an important part of their credit management. We provide them with Ground Up Cover, Top Up Cover and Selected Buyer solutions.

Mercury consist of an international and diverse team of driven and experienced specialist, with decades of experience in risk analysis and creating bespoke credit insurance solutions. We have grown from a team of 5 people to now over 20 people with 9 different nationalities. With our international team we have build a solid foundation to provide customers in over 40 countries with excellent service and valuable credit risk analysis.

Originally opening our office in Rotterdam, we are now based in Amsterdam where we moved in 2019 to an office close to central station and opposite of the Dutch Maritime Museum.
